Why join the course?

This course aims to improve your surgical ability, and familiarity, with the surgical approaches to the shoulder and elbow associated with trauma surgery. Taught in the anatomy department of St George’s, University of London, you will use dissection to develop your knowledge, ability and confidence in trauma surgery.

Course Description
 

Hands-on teaching led by world-leading surgeons.

This course, spread over two full-days, will give you a thorough understanding of the rationale for common surgical approaches used today. You will also be taught to understand the safe anatomical planes for the approaches, as well as become familiar with the associated neurovascular anatomy.

Taught by a team of world-leading surgeons from the Shoulder Unit at St George’s Hospital including Mr Duncan Tennent, Mr Magnus Arnander and Mr Eyiyemi Pearse this course aims to develop your knowledge and confidence in surgical approaches to the shoulder and elbow associated with trauma surgery.

This course is best suited to Orthopaedic Trainees at ST3-ST8 level.

A certificate of attendance will be provided at the end of the session.
