Do you know about SuppoRTT?
My name is Chloe Nicholson, and I have recently been appointed to the role of SuppoRTT Project Officer within Health Education England (HEE). I am contacting you today to make you aware of the Supported Return to Training (SuppoRTT) initiative which is designed to benefit trainees who take some time out of their training programme.
Please see the attached SuppoRTT flyer.
SuppoRTT is available to all east of England (EoE) trainees who are planning to take, or are already on, an approved period of time out of their programme for one or more of the following reasons:
- Parental / maternity leave exceeding 3 months
- Out of Programme for Research (OOPR) or a Career Break (OOPC)
- Global Health Fellowship
- Sick leave of more than 3 months
- Doctors who have been out of training for more than 3 months and have accepted an EoE training post.
If you meet one or more of the above criteria or are planning to take some time out of your programme in the future, pleasetake a look at the SuppoRTT pages of the HEE, EoE website (Click Here) to see what is required and available to you. These pages include: the SuppoRTT policy and forms, guidance and some really useful FAQs.
*Please note: As of 01/06/2018 it is a requirement for all trainees taking more than 3 months out of their programme to arrange a meeting with the TPD/College Tutor prior to leaving and returning, to complete parts 1 and 2 of the SuppoRTT Plan.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch via this mailbox (firstname.lastname@example.org).
With best wishes,
SuppoRTT Project Officer
