Clinical scenarios, Patient based discussions and lots of Viva practice
The day will cover:
1. Basic science
– Orthopaedic tissue: bone, menisci, ligaments, tendons and articular cartilage
– Knee joint biomechanics
– Basic science of arthroplasty (keeping it broad)
– Paeds/Osteochondritis Dessicans
2. Adult Pathology (theory and clinical vivas)
– Osteochondral defects and emerging therapies
– Patello-femoral syndrome
– Meniscal and ligamentous pathology
– ACL
– Knee OA
