A number of trainees in the region have now taken part in the POPULAR ( The Peri-Operative Professionalism United Leadership And Resilience – POPULAR) course.
This unique one day event has been designed specifically for higher trainees working in the field of anaesthetics, emergency medicine and surgery to develop their leadership, management and innovation skills. Facilitated by experts within the field, you will have the opportunity to hone your skills and work collaboratively with your colleagues throughout the day. This course will demonstrate that you have additional leadership and management skills when applying for consultant applications in comparison to the majority of trainees who have completed the ‘tick the box course’ only. Moreover, the development of non-technical skills is becoming a larger part of both curricula and this course will undoubtedly improve your portfolio and skill base.
