Please see the attached advert and give this opportunity some consideration

It seems a lot more than simply mentoring your local colleagues – more a Deanery position with some time out of training to support this work

Anyone interested, the deadline is 24 July – very soon!

Of course, on a local level I am very keen to set up a mentoring programme where ST6s mentor ST3 new starters, and follow them through for their first 3 years in programme (and may continue to do so even once they’ve left), paving the way for the now ST6s to reciprocate their new starters.

Flyer: Mentoring Fellows Job Description and Person Specification

Sent on behalf of Maria Cooke, Programme Director for Mentoring

Dear Heads of Schools,

We are pleased to announce the creation of two part time Mentoring Fellow positions for ST3+ to start in October.  We are circulating this opportunity to Trainees today and enclose a copy of the information they will receive.  I very much hope you will support any suitable candidate as I hope this will accelerate the establishment and development of Mentoring Schemes to help our trainees to fulfil their goals and reach their full potential.

If you would like to discuss this at all please do not hesitate to contact Maria,maria.cooke3@nhs.net.

Kind Regards,

Jenni Swain
