East Anglian Orthopaedic Club Meeting – 18th November 2016
Dear Friends,
Many thanks indeed for submitting your abstracts for presentation at the East Anglian Orthopaedic Club Annual Meeting. We have had an immense academic interest in our meeting this time with over 50 abstracts being submitted for presentation. The scientific quality of the submissions from the trainees has been very good, and has therefore generated fierce competition for the top slots.
To make this more exciting, competitive and also to give a chance to all the trainees to present, we have introduced a new session called “JAM – Just A Minute”. We have included the top 16 abstracts for the standard podium presentation of six minutes and the remaining submissions which are of high quality have been entered into the JAM session. This will involve the trainee presenting their work for 1 minute with 1 slide! We also also decided to keep a separate Best Paper and the Runner-Up Award for the JAM Session in addition to the best paper and runner up award in the standard podium paper session.
Kindly find enclosed the list of the selected papers for the Podium and JAM session. I would be grateful if you could kindly send in your presentations to me on vk279@cam.ac.uk by the 13th of November 2016 so that we have a seamless transition and keep to time on the day.
