BASK Research Fellow 2018/19

Applications are sought for this 1-year honorary position.

Extendable to 2 years, dependent on progress.

The post holder will be assigned a research project which is in line with BASK research themes and is achievable within the specified time. It is envisaged that this will include a consensus meeting and establishing a national priority setting partnership process. The results of the project will be presented at the annual BASK meeting with an interim six month review.

It is open to all SPR’s who will remain in their current full time trainee post but will be supported to complete this role by two Consultant mentors.

A stipend of £5000 for research costs, travel and expenses will be available.

Application is by CV with an additional one-page covering letter outlining the applicant’s research enthusiasm and short (1 paragraph/topic) appraisal of the two most pressing research needs in knee surgery.
