National Clinical Fellow Post – Supported Return to Training (SuppoRTT) Role

Dear Trainees

Please see the message below from HEE.

I am inviting you to consider applying for this National Clinical Fellow role which is funded by Health Education England for 6-12 months from April 2018.

Supported Return to Training (SuppoRTT) is a national initiative which I am leading in the East of England. It aims  to support any of you coming back to clinical practice from parental leave, OOP or sick leave. We have funding and have set up training sessions for trainers, HR, Medical Education Managers etc with a view to this scheme going live in late spring 2018.  In conjunction with SuppoRTT, we have already set up generic Return to Clinical Practice (RTCP) days (flier attached).

Although the backbone of SuppoRTT in the east of England  is largely set up, this is only the basics of what could be a much bigger project and we would be delighted to have a clinical fellow to be involved. It would not count towards your training, but you would be allowed OOPE for the duration of your involvement. The role is across Midlands and the East of England, but you would be based in HEE offices in Fulbourn.

Someone who has experience of returning to a clinical job after time out would be ideal for the role.

I will have availability to call you on Tuesday 30th  Jan between 16.00-18.00 or on Thursday 1st Feb to suit you. If this would be helpful, please reply with a couple of options and a phone number. I will confirm a time.

The closing date is has been extended to 04/02/2018 and start date is no longer fixed at April 1st  2018. . Do either apply directly or contact me with a contact number if you would like to discuss. You would need permission from your TPD, but I think that most would be very supportive. As the deadline is so tight, do not wait for this before you apply.
